One of the best spots for plane spotters around Brisbane is at the SkyLounge Rooftop venue, located at Ibis Brisbane Airport.
Ibis Brisbane Airport and Pullman Brisbane Airport have special hotel packages that include overnight accommodation, breakfast for two and two pairs of binoculars to enjoy the unobstructed airport views from the 10th floor.
The SkyLounge is quickly becoming one of Brisbane’s most popular private function spaces with the top floor setting offering stunning views out to Moreton Bay, Brisbane CBD and beyond, as well as a front row seat to airline threatre both day and night.
Grab some food after your plane spotting session at the Cribb Island Beach Club which is located on the ground floor of the Ibis Brisbane Airport.
Ideally, you can dine at Apron Bar & Restaurant, located at the Pullman Brisbane Airport for a 5 star meal experience.
Acacia Street loop, Boronia Road and Da Vinci Boulevard are also plane spotting areas located near Brisbane Airport where you can see planes arriving and departing.
"After a long haul flight, wow, what a greeting. A friendly, warm and professional welcome. This is what hospitality is about. Great hotel room with fully working facilities, great bathroom, and a quiet and well insulated room. Breakfast staff were very welcoming, and the chef was a credit to good hospitality. After checking out, I had a couple of hours before my next journey, and again good hospitality was on display . I know, looking after luggage, and bringing a cup of tea is basic, but it was warm and friendly. Without asking, I was bought a glass of ice water not long after finishing my tea. Brownie points. Maybe this is usual Australian standards of service, but staff and hoteliers in the UK should take notice. This is hospitality, not just service."
